Winters Dead: 2 nights of live music, Dead Winter Carpenters and special guests Memorial Day Weekend
Posted by Crystal Bay Casino on May 16, 2014
You know how homecoming parties can get really big? Or how family reunions can get a little out of hand? Well, the annual tradition of a two-night show with one of Tahoe’s favorite local bands, Dead Winter Carpenters (DWC), is no different. The lineup is morbid and it doesn’t get much more serious than topics of family, hometowns, and life and death. Join Dead Winter Carpenters, The Brothers Comatose, the Dead Peasants and The Revivalists in the Crown Room for the Crystal Bay Club’s annually anticipated event, considered the kick off to summer for most locals. Tickets for Night One at Winters Dead are still available, but (as expected) passes for both live shows are sold out.
At the first night of Winters Dead, DWC will play with Chris Shiftlett and The Dead Peasants. Chris Shiftlett is best known for his work as the lead guitarist for the Foo Fighters and his punk rock cover band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.
Night two of the Winters Dead will bring The Brothers Comatose to the stage. These crazy brothers, Ben and Alex, are known for their insane antics and audience participation.
Don’t worry about not getting enough sleep during the weekend event, or having sore feet from dancing for that matter, because the Crown Room after-party for both nights is with The Revivalists. The funky and traditional rock septet are still riding their high from playing a whole week at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The Revivalists will play late night both Friday and Saturday.
The Crystal Bay Club is ecstatic to have Dead Winter Carpenters host both live shows in the Crown Room for Winters Dead two night event May 23 and 24.
